Kesiapan Kerja Mahasiswa di Era Kompetisi Talenta: Peran Pengalaman Magang, Self-Efficacy, dan Employability Skills

Abstract


This study examines the effects of internship experience, self-efficacy, and employability skills on the work readiness of students in the Certified Internship and Independent Study (MSIB) Batch 7 program at Universitas Riau. A quantitative approach was applied to 100 students who completed the program in 2024. The entire population was included through saturated sampling. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with multiple linear regression in SPSS 26. The results show that internship experience, self-efficacy, and employability skills have positive and significant effects on work readiness, both simultaneously and partially. Employability skills is the most dominant predictor. The R² value of 0.312 and the adjusted R² of 0.291 indicate that the three independent variables explain 29.1% of the variance in work readiness, while the remaining 70.9% is influenced by factors outside the model. The findings highlight the need to design internships as a human resource development program that strengthens students’ self-belief and workplace skills.
