Adiibah Afifah Nahdah, Arief Bachtiar

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of green banking, bank performance, and macroeconomic conditions on the profitability of HIMBARA banks. The independent variables consist of Green Cost, Green Coin Rating, bank size, efficiency (BOPO), money supply, and BI-7 Days Repo Rate, while the dependent variable is Return on Assets (ROA). The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data for the period 2020–2022. The sample was selected through purposive sampling, comprising four banks that are members of HIMBARA. Data were analyzed using panel data regression with the Common Effect Model via EViews 10 software. The results indicate that Green Cost, bank size, and BI-7 Days Repo Rate have a positive and significant effect on profitability. In contrast, efficiency (BOPO) and money supply have a negative and significant effect, while Green Coin Rating has no significant effect on the profitability of HIMBARA banks.
