Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and Self-Efficacy on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at Rumah Sakit Islam Purwokerto. This research employed a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, involving 173 non-managerial employees as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while POS and job satisfaction do not significantly affect performance. Both POS and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction; however, job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between POS or self-efficacy and employee performance. These findings indicate that individual belief in professional competence is the most dominant factor in driving performance in a hospital environment with high service demands. This study provides practical implications for hospital management to prioritize strengthening employee self-efficacy through training and mentoring.
